Every Character Begins With a Sketch

Long before there was Club MELLO...

Long before there was a logo, a website, or a collection of characters...

There was simply a kid with a pencil and a blank sheet of paper.

I didn't know exactly what I was creating. I just knew I loved to draw.

What started as rough lines and simple ideas slowly became something much bigger than I ever imagined.

On one side of this sketch, you see a young boy making his very first attempt to bring a character to life.

On the other side, you see that character doing the exact same thing—creating.

Maybe that's how imagination has always worked.

Sometimes our ideas feel like they come out of nowhere.

But maybe they don't.

Maybe they've been quietly waiting for us to discover them all along.

This week, you only see one character.

That's intentional.

Every story has a beginning.

Every universe starts with a single idea.

And every character...

Begins with a sketch.
